OPK ladies

Hi ladies! Today I took my first OPK test. I thought I was in the 2WW already but I started having pains in my left side - which felt a lot like O pains to me. So I ran out and purchased a cheapie OPK from the Dollar Tree.

Since I'm not too familiar with these, I was wondering if I should count the one below as positive? It's a bit lighter than the control line but I'm not sure if light is positive regardless. Also, does light indicate pre or post ovulation - or is + just +?

It looks just a tiny bit darker than the pic.. but still half as light as the control line.

Thanks!

Ack! I need 4 more posts before I can post an image, so I'll post as soon as I do.

Read the instructions, but OPK's are usually only positive when the test line is as dark or darker than the control line. Light can indicate both before the surge (which occurs before ovulation) or after ovulation. I'd also like to add that, though I'm sure this is not true with everyone, I didn't have ovulation cramps until the day after my positive OPK and it was negative the day I was experiencing the cramps (which was the day I ovulated).

No problem, just didn't want to give you advice if yours was different than mine.
