Safe decongestant durring the TTW?

Hello ladies!

I'm about 8 DPO and have the WORST congestion. I'm getting on a plain in a couple of days so I would rather not be feeling icky.

Taking mucinex or something similar frightens me a little when your CM texture is so important. I know some people even take it during ovulation to help thin CM. But by my understanding, during possible implantation you want thicker CM (correct me if I'm wrong).

Help me out! Is it safe to take any sort of decongestant right now? Or should I just tough it out and deal with phlegm.

I'll add we have been TTC for over a year and are in our 3rd round of clomid. I really don't want to risk screwing anything up.

The congestion seems to be in my sinuses. Trying steam and acupressure points to try and relieve it, but I would LOVE to take something to ease it.
