My first 2ww...

Hi all... I started posting a little recently, but wanted to kind of just reach out and ask - How many of you all found success in your first try? What are the odds on the first cycle resulting in pregnancy?

My mom had so much trouble having kids; several miscarriages, 2 ectopic pregnancies, and I was the only one that came to be. However, her mom had 7 kids and no problems. I'm just curious as to how realistic it is to become pregnant the first go around.

I'm getting so impatient during these 2 weeks and reading into everything I feel symptom-wise, which is a lot right now! I've battled some nausea today and one very sore back. How do you all keep sane?

I don't know how I keep sane, haven't had time to fall into a rhythm yet. Last month was my first cycle TTC and it resulted in what I suspect was a chemical although I never saw a BFP. I'm trying to be more chill this month. Like you, my mum had a huge number of miscarriages. So even when I do see a BFP, it's going to start a whole new EIGHT WEEK wait until we are out of the miscarriage danger zone...

Yeah, that's going to be a long 8 weeks if there's a BFP this time around. I work at a really stressful job (that one would think I'd want to be on BC) working with kids with behavior problems. Just yesterday, one of my students punched the interpreter (I work in a classroom for Deaf students) in the face. I got kicked. It makes me really nervous about keeping that job whilst pregnant at any point. To add to it, our main teacher / my boss is leaving in a week for a new job across the country. They won't be able to hire anyone for a long time - it's not a sought after job. It took almost 2 years last time. I am concerned about stress levels :-\

Ooooh. Are you looking for a new position? I would be!

I was working as a dishwasher in an extremely busy catering/café kitchen when I fell pregnant the first time. No stress to cause concerns about getting pregnant, but I couldn't continue the very physical job whilst worrying about miscarriage. Ended up getting let go because I asked to be put on medical leave until I'd been seen by a doctor and cleared to continue working lifting 50 lb bus bins against my stomach.

It is tough because out of our 9 kids, only one or two are tough. If not for certain student with very unpredictable violent tendencies, I would love to stay. I am on a year round calendar and we get 3 week breaks every 8 to 10 weeks of svhool. I am about to beon that break starting next friday. If i learn i am pregnant this cycle , ill seriously consider leaving. I dont want all that stress. I dont know what id look for though as far as a new job goes. i would like a work from home option. I may teach art at home one on one.

OMG for a moment I thought you were saying you have 9 kids of your own and can't leave the job for financial/job security reasons.... lol!

Working from home sounds really great for TTC/pregnancy/early years of parenting.

bwhahaha.. Oh my. Not sure what i'd do having 9 kids on my own!!! O_O 9 kids in my special needs classroom! It's tough.

I'd love maybe 2-3 of my own though. I have a 10 year old step daughter already. I think after working in the school system, I just want to be able to try to homeschool as an alternative. We'll see if I have sanity with being home with kids all day though

I'm so tempted to test today, but thinking I should know better. I don't really have much going on symptom wise today... Does that mean anything? I haven't been without some sort of odd feeling or cramp since February 26th...

I'm hoping to homeschool too! Just for core subjects, going in to the public school for arts and athletics.

Hi, I was extremely lucky to fall pregnant very quickly with 3 pregnancies. DS1 was in my second cycle...have to admit not knowing much with the first cycle, didn't actively try.
2nd pregnancy was straight away coming off the pill but it did end in an early mc at 6/7 weeks.
DS2....well I let myself have 1 cycle after the mc and fell straight away again.

So it's possible!

Currently cd15 after a stopping pill last month.

Good luck xx

`I am out... AF this am at full force and a bit early for me. my cycle has been 40 days on average and this one is 36....i have been healthier and lost 10 lbs so i think my cycle is normalizing. Choosing to be positive and view this as my body being healthier to sustain a pregnancy and maybe more chances if cycle is not so long now. Another month is a chance to be even more fit and ready!
