Yesterday after bd I had sharp abdominal pains starting, like somebody is cutting me from the inside.... 2 years ago I had similar pain and they couldn't find anything in urine but gave me antibiotics as for UTI and the pains never came back. BuT this time I only have pain, no problem urinating, no frequent or scanty urination - normal. Sharp pain subsided after a while, still I feel my abdomen hurting when I stretch . Right now I'm off health insurance till winter for some technical reasons. I'm not sure when I ovulated, and I spotted 3 times before or around predicted ovulation time this month. I have general antibiotics at home.. Should I take them ?? Or is it possible that I ovulated at some weird time and pain is pg-related?? Is it safe to take antibiotics in 2ww?
dont take them unless gp gave them to u knowing u may be pregnant or ttc.
Uti type pains are a pregnancy symptom when the womb stretches, i remember having them wen i was pg with my son, it hurts alot!! Infact i had the same pain yesterday when me n oh dtd! Forgot til now wen u had me thinking!!! Hope its our bfp saying hello! Xxx
Thank u for your reply... U give me some hope.. I don't feel it now except when standing ip queekly, sneezing, coughing etc.. But I guess in my case it's too early for ligaments to stretch .. Unless I actually conceived earlier and don't know.. It's good to know tgat somebody had it as a pg symptom
I guess I'll wait with antibiotics unless it intensifies...
Hey candyapple19, but did you have this pain after dtd throughout pregnancy?
I mean, if I get bfp this month, it means it's something tgat will "cure" only after 9 month and every time we do it I end up in pain? Ugh that's not fun..
Btw I checked the cervix just put of curiosity, it's very soft and high.. May be just because of the pains..
There's a certain kind of antibiotic they give pregnant women. I had one when I was pregnant with my son, and they prescribed it for me (after I drilled the doctor on whether or not it would be ok). I wonder if it actually might be worse not to treat it? Since infections can have a negative impact on pregnancy? I don't really know.... But what Candy said, for sure a symptom, so could be a good thing! I've got UTI type symptoms too and I got a faint line today and yesterday.
Just an update from me:
pains have gone completely ( I can even stretch out), plus we bd-ed twise after that, I couldn't stop my husband but didn't allow him to go deep or fast, and I had no pains afterwards( excluding slight discomfort when stretching or walking fast, that continued for tge entire day after the "big pain").
Could implantation be that painful??? Then it would mean tgat I ovulated around CD 10... I asked my hubby to bring me tests( I'm staying home today), so I'll test just in
