Is implantation bleed always brown?

The reason i ask is that i have been spotting all day, but it is red. I never have spotting and normally come on heavy. Its is day 30 of my cycle, last month was a 32 day cycle. The month b4 was 36. Thats the shortest in years it seems to be gradually shortening. Is it just getting shorter agen or could it be implantation...? Does implantation bleed have to be brown? Thanx xx

I "think" brown signifies old blood. I also an under the impression IB shoudl be more red than brown, but I am FAR from an expert. Maybe someone else can help you, with this one.

It can be brown or red. It just depends on when the blood makes it out. Brown is old blood. Red is fresh. As long as the red isn't a heavy flow it could still be considered IB.
