I was just wondering if any of you ladies have gotten 3 days in a row of positive Answer brand OPK's? I am using the CBFM also but thought it would be fun this month to use OPK's as well to double track ovulation. I went straight from low to peak on my monitor this month on CD 14. I have around a 28 day cycle give or take a few days, (only 4th cycle off the pill so not exactly sure what is normal for me yet). I also had a positive OPK that morning. From your first peak on, CBFM goes into auto mode and gives you an automatic peak the following day and then a high the third day. So, for fun I continued testing with Answer brand OPK's and got an even darker OPK on CD 15, same darkness on CD16, and this morning it was still almost positive but faded slightly!! So, I have been reading up on what this could mean and I have seen everything from it being normal to have a long surge every once in a while, to that means my egg might be having trouble getting out of the gait, to it's possible that I dropped two eggs, hence the longer surge! So...now I'm nervous that it's a bad thing and hoping that it is a good thing. Plus, if I count the second day of positive OPK and peak on the monitor as O day, then today would be 2DPO...however, if I ovulated late because of the long surge, I could potentially be only 1 DPO today??? So confused!! Has anyone else ever had this or have any info??
OPKs are so confusing! From what I know, you should O anywhere from 12-48 hrs after your + OPK. I also temp my bbt to confirm O. I got a + OPK last Wed and Thu (or at least very close to +, they were the ones with the 2 lines) I also had a bunch of EWCM. But I neve had a sustained temp shift to confirm O. So on a whim I did an OPK last night because I had what I thought might be O pains yesterday and lo and behold 2 positives one on a cheapo dip strip and one on a digital test. I fully expected to confirm O this morning with a temp rise, but nope I actually got a dip. So now I don't know if I am Oing today or maybe tomorrow or if I am not going to O at all! I would say that maybe your test on CD14 was just close to pos, then it was pos CD15 and CD16? That would mean you would O anywhere from CD15-CD17. But I am no expert! I can't even figure out my own OPKs!
