Soft Uterus????

Hi, I am new here!

What does a soft uterus mean? The practitioner I went to told me I have a soft uterus... and that I should get a urine preg test done at the clinic. It came out negative...

I am not sure if it is just me, but I still feel different, my bbs are still heavy after AF, my nipples are still inflated and feels more puffy than usual.

What is wrong with me? Please help!!!!!

Your cervix can get soft at first in early pregnancy, due to the increase in hormones. The doctor's urine test are not very sensitive, usually 50mlU/ml. So, if you are indeed pregnant, it might be too early to pick up the hcg on that test.

I agree with the post that mentioned about the uterus becoming soft in early pregnancy..I have read this too and was just doing a search to see if I could find where I read about it before...I would give it a few more days and test again--it may just be early yet..

Good Luck!

Thank you so much for your replies!!

She said I have a small and soft uterus, and bc I have noticed changes in my bbs (it seems like the areola on my nipples have gotten bigger, mont glands are more prominent, new small pimple looking bumps on the areola), and that I had 2 lighter periods (skipped january, came in early feb, but was runny and lighter than usual), she suggested a preg test. She didn't give me a blood test.

I have done 4 hpts before this (clear blue and ept), and they were all negative.
Should I still be worrying if I am pregnant? Or is there a more sensitive hpt that I can purchase? thank you so much, I am new to all this!!!

I would opt for the blood test hun...They are really the more accurate of them all--there are 2 types--the one that just gives a Yes/No similiar to a hpt and the other actually tells them how much hcg is in your system..If you are "newly" pregnant--any level over 5 or 6 is positive on the blood test that checks the levels--and that test should be repeated to make sure the levels are rising for viability. First Responce has been known to pick up hcg levels as low as 6 miu's but I think that is even a rarity. They at least measure 12-25 miu's of hcg..So like I said--if you are "newly" pregnant your levels may not be high enough to detect on your average hpt. BUT by the end of the weekend--you may start to see something on a test that measure's low levels like the First Responce reportedly does..Good Luck hun! I look forward to hear you update!

Thank you for your reply.

Actually...I had protected sex (condoms) mid december 2011. So that was a long time ago. Deep down inside I really doubt that I am, also bc I had 5 negative urine tests since then. Plus having 2 periods (even if one was late).
I know the only answer I can get is by getting a blood test, but do you think I still have reason to doubt if I am pregnant or not? Something is just bothering me, and I can't pinpoint what it is!
