Hey, I'm due for my period in about a week as well. And why bother testing now? I can imagine waiting until 4 days before your period, but a week? There's no way you'd get a positive. As far as symptoms go, I've learned that nothing means anything until after your missed period. It's frustrating but true.

scarletmyst86, are you talking about a tiny speck of white goo, or something more? If it's the tiny speck, it could be sebum from your montgomery glands: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Areolar_glands. Small specks of sebum doesn't mean anything as far as pregnancy goes. I've found small specks of the stuff in my right nipple and I've never been pregnant.
