Age 43 10 dpo neg hpt but symptoms.. Still a chance? Feel so old :(

Hi ladies,

I haven't posted for a while, basically because i've just been so depressed about this TTC thing. I'm 43 12.5 FSH and feeling like it's never going to happen.

We timed everything right, used pre-seed, and Im basically exhausted from covering all of the bases...

I think I'm about 10 dpo today and still a stark white negative. i know many women don't get a positive until after they miss af, but I'm feeling im out anyway. I felt like I was getting AF a couple of days ago, and i even got acne on my chin as if i were. That's the ONLY time of the month i get even a hint of a pimple. Felt crampy, miserable and emotional. My cycles have been somewhat short and irregular (15 day cycle a couple of months ago), so truly thought it was AF coming, but nothing yet. I have added B6 to lenghten my luteal phase as well.

Im just looking for HOPE that I can still get a BFP even if i felt AF coming and its not too late. I know it's early, but feel i would at least have a very faint line if I was pregnant at this point.

PS: my cervix was hard and low a few days ago, but has now risen to high and soft. So high i can't touch it... don't know if that means anything. Thought it was supposed to stay low before AF.

Just wanted to wish you luck, you're not out until she shows and sometimes ladies do get a late hpt. CP is hit and miss but if that's unusual for you I would say that is a good sign, mine is getting lower and softer and I know for me that means af imminent even though I was feeling quite positive this month, as like you, know we did everything right and covered all possible bases.

It just bloody sucks thinking am I aren't I doesn't it I hate it. I am due on probably the next day or two and tbh when af shows I can cope with it a lot better than the not knowing, I just pull myself together and think right on to the next cycle. Really hope you have some good news. GL hun xx

welcome! i too am 43, sometimes i feel too old, and other days, i feel normal, whatever that is! ha ha, you know what worked for me? at least i'm hoping it did cause AF is currently 2 weeks late, but no BFP yet, AC, took it for a month, and it finally helped me O, i'm taking another test tomorrow, hoping for a bFP! keep me posted!

oh forgot to add, my FSH levels a few months ago, was 35! yes you read right, a very high number! but i have faith, that the AC and the EPO both helped me, now just waiting for that BFP. i'm currently 2 weeks late for AF and have been having tons of symptoms! so we shall see. FX's crossed for you. i had to really take a look at my cycles and see what was wrong, for me, my cycles were irregular and long, due to stress etc. hope that helps

Thanks to both of you and a very BIG GL to you as well!! I am trying not to lose hope... I don't feel old in other areas of my life... just in this TTC thing.. it seems like doomsday when you hit 43!! XO

Definitely! And GL to LittleSara too. I am nearly 32 and been married 7 years, I know people look at me and my husband and think it's weird we haven't had a baby yet! I hate having to explain to everyone we have problems ttc.

Btw AC helped regulate my cycle so much so I don't have to take it any more so that's good.
