My ovaries ache??

Hey all,

Sometimes I get ovulation pain but this is different, it's like my ovaries are really achey. It sometimes happens before ovulation, but usually it happens after! 2+ days after, usually atleast a few days. It doesn't hurt, but it's noticeable and kind of uncomfortable. It just aches where both of my ovaries are.

Has/does anyone else have this? I quit b/c in late July after only being on it for about 5 months and along with having hardly any cm, this has started happening. I don't remember this achey feeling before b/c.

I got like that this cycle and my ultrasound on Wednesday (6dpo) revealed small ovarian cycst that go away on their own.

But I hear that some women still have ovulation pain after they have ovulated... I would say that if the pain is unbearable I would make a doctor's appointment

It's not unbearable. If I still haven't conceived in a few months I'll be going back to the ob-gyn and tell them about it to see if they thought it was anything important.

Brittles - cd20, 3dpo (I think). I usually chart but took it really easy this month so I'm just going by the fact that I usually ovulate on cd17. On the morning of cd19 I had definitely ovulated, because I temped. No aching right now, I had a little bit last night but only for a bit.

I get a lot of ovary "uncomfort" too, mostly on the right side. It lasts about a week for me. You aren't alone. I've never been checked for cysts becaue my cycles are so "normal" and they won't touch me until TTC for 12 months.

See, that's what I think, is it's probably cysts. It just kind of freaks me out that I never noticed it until AFTER I stopped taking birth control. Oddly enough, I *also* had an incredible amount of cervical mucus all month long until I started birth control. Now I have a lot - UNLESS it's eggwhite. I now have hardly any EWCM...

Thanks birth control. There's no telling what would have happened if I had taken you even longer!

I was only on it for like 5 months! Pathetic!!

Isn't it crazy the things doctors never tell us? I was on birth control for 6 years and if I had known all the crap it does I would have splurged for condoms all those years!

If you go into your ob/gyn and tell them you are getting a sharp pain (sometimes we gotta lie to get what we want and as long as the insurance covers it too... I don't know your situation with that so, its up to you) in what feels like your ovaries or uterus. I had no idea I had any until one ruptured. (worst pain ever) They SHOULD do a ultrasound, and they'll be able to see any cysts. I don't really get an achey feeling but everyone is different, mine feels like O pain. Less intense, but all month long.Good luck! If it is a cyst, hopefully its just a normal one that will go away on its own!!
