Getting a little desperate here ladies...

I'm so glad I found this thread.
I'm 20 years old and in my second year of University, me and my fiancée have been together for four years now and he is my best friend and soul mate rolled into one. He has a well paid full time job, a lovely new car and we rent a flat together The problem is.. our hearts are telling us to go for it and start our family now, i really can't explain this burning feeling i have to carry and give birth to a child its taking over my liffe! Well I'm sure you all understand the feeling.
Our heads are telling us to wait, that we have our whole life to have children and its much more ''sensible'' for me to finish my degree before we start trying but its all im thinking about.

To make matters worse, I just found out that one of my closest friends gave birth to a healthy little boy just an hour ago and i feel so low, at the one point i should be feeling happy for her! Feel really bad!

Any advice or help? Or tips on how to cope with waiting to conceive for two or more years??! Thanks, Em

Hey Em
I know its so hard
How i cope is to just think once you reach the end of education then you can start trying (not for me straight away though)
Head vs heart is the hardest choice to make
Maybe help your friend out with her little one? It may help with your broodyness, but it could also go the other way and make you even more broody
Guess all we can do is wait it out
xx

Hey hunny, just wanted to say I am 22 and sooooo broody. Been dating my lovely man for the past few weeks and already want babies lol. I posted something recently about my mum now hinting to me about having children, but both Andrew and I know its not the right time. We're both in good jobs, driving and I have just bought my first house, and maybe after a year or so he will move in with me. But like you said (i couldn't agree with you more) it's a matter of heart vs head! Damn my head for being so... opposite!

I like what you wrote here, distraction is so good! Go on holiday with your OH, rent or buy somewhere, have some crazy nights out together, I'll tell you what people used to say that to me when I was 17 and wanting a baby, back then I didn't listen, but HONESTLY IT WORKS. I started having a life when I was 19 and now look, that was 4 whole years ago.

wow... time flew.

Good luck hun.

Another tip, start a WTT journal... it's a good laugh and you get some great friends out of it :-) xxxx

Had to post on this...

Just bought my first house on cheap housing. It's part ownership so I own 30% of the house and pay rent on the other 70%. My mortgage payments are £121 a month, rent is £140 a month. I have a One bedroom ground floor masionette with a gorgeous garden. My deposit was 9k with a 2k premium for added extras. My mortgage is for 20k...

it's do-able ladies :-) I work as a catering assistant on £850pcm. Very low wage and I can do it, I say go for it girl... see what you can get done xx

Go on to rightmove.co.uk and search for shared ownership properties in your area. You'll be shock at what's avaliable. I had to finalise my contract today... Payments and all. 12.5k in one transaction. My debit card took a right whollop! X
