I have a friend who has a facebook profile for her cat, her dog, and her car... but she's just being stupid.
I think it's weird to make a profile for your infant. The child can't even SEE the computer screen, much less communicate...
I can see "skype"ing with a baby, but facebook? No. Plus - it's against the facebook law to have a profile if you're under 13

I didn't realise you needed to be 13 to have a FB profile. That's a good idea, but probably very difficult to enforce to be honest...

Bless one of my friends, who I love dearly, she made a profile whilst the baby was still a fetus (!) and added scan photos. I know she was just mega excited, but personally after suffering a MC before, I wouldn't dream of doing it. Thankfully, nothing went wrong for her and she has a beautiful, healthy baby.

On a slightly separate note; loads of my friends are pregnant at the moment and are all posting scan pictures. Again, not sure how I feel about that, less odd the making a profile. But it is difficult if you have friends that are WTTC/TTC or who have suffered a loss. Is seems really common though.

Are you going to share your scan photos on FB? What do you think the FB etiquette should be? Family/close friends only?? x x

I don't think I would- also, because I am a bit lazy. I would love to see a FB page for my Dog, but again too much work.

I dont think it is appropriate. I deactivated my fb account simply because of privacy concerns.

In years to come I dont want my kid to get mad at me for creating a fb page for him/her.
