We did for four months... and as long as you don't dtd on the days you are fertile you're good but mind you those days are the days you want to dtd most!!! Which is where we fell into and we never used protection of any sort... so then we went to NTNP... and now we have a six week old!! lol And I'm on the mini pill now!

yea i was going to use this method but you need to have regular cycles and mine turned out to be all over the place...so there goes predicting anything.

i think its good to use this if you don't mind a happy accident aka as sort of NTNP
but if you are looking at it as your only way of contraception it's a risky method because as stonesWife said, your fertile days are the ones you want to dtd most and then you need to use some other kind of protection!

I am using the calendar method as well as pull out. My chart is in my siggy and we didn't pull out on the 25th and as you can see i Oed the next day. I didn't know when to expect O and the not pulling out was an accident or miss communication. however you want to look at it. Now we are waiting for AF to show up. Our son just passed away almost 4 months ago and I don't know how ready we are to go through it again. Good luck

sorry for ur loss

thanks girls i dont think we'd always use it as the only method, but as i have bad side effects to the pill and injection etc, only thing we can use is condoms (which OH hates using lol) once in a while it would be nice not to have to use them. Maybe he will bring forward ntnp
thanx again x

I think its great if you have regular cycles and can stop mid moment to "wrap things up"... I really enjoyed being off the pill. And we weren't exactly not trying so when we had "accidents" they weren't REALLY accidents! lol

If you do charting (taking your body temp at first waking) and using cervical position to determine fertile windows....then it can be very effective (there are a few other options, but those are main). I am trying (still...) to get a fertility monitor that checks your saliva (and can tell you 5-7 days before you're going to ovulate...) and a vaginal probe which confirms ovulation (so you avoid sex for a couple of days after you ovulate and then can resume).

Looks good, just kinda expensive. A basal body thermometer & checking cervical position etc is obviously a lot cheaper and very effective. I would recommend 'taking charge of your fertility' (book) by Toni Weschler

Yeah i see what you mean maybe its a good idea to "wrap things up" at the end.... He likes the idea of ntnp but not till next year so the occasional ntnp will happen in the mean time, my cycles are pretty regular between 28 and 32 days
