are you going to NTNP before your TTC date?

I'm just wondering if you ladies were thinking of taking this route? I'm not sure I could convince OH that NTNP is any different from TTC... but I really like the idea of NTNP the month or two before our actual TTC date!!!

What are you all planning to do?

Hiya!! I won't be as I will be ttc as soon as I could feasibly have a baby and my mothers family are all super fertile (all the women have got pregnant first month not on contraception!!) so I think (hope) it'll happen quickly so gonna just go for it as soon as I can!!

Too be honest I don't think oh would be at all happy if I started charting and temping, so prob won't be too full on when ttc (easy to say now!) x

I'm a little confused with the whole NTNP stage. I know exactly when I ovulate so if we bd'd before/after these days then i'd know we weren't TTC and if we bd'd on these dates then I'd know we were TTC so does that mean I can never NTNP? I wish I didn't know now...

Not exactly, but we might do something sort of similar. Because of grad school responsibilities, the earliest we'd want to TTC is March/April. Waiting a few months after that might make life easier, but isn't necessary. So we're thinking that in mid March we might start NTNP. A few months after that, if I haven't conceived, we'll start making more of a concerted effort.

I can almost always tell when I'm fertile, though, because my libido is out of control, so I don't think there'll be much of a difference between NTNP and TTC.

I think we are going to NTNP about a month before we actually start TTC.

In my way of looking at NTNP it is very much like TTC.. I just see NTNP as a less intense, less "involved' form of TTC.
I am not a good person to do charting.. I would totally forget! or do it religiously for 3 days and then get bored. I generally have a good idea of when I'm ovulating, so I'll use that as a basis and some quick math from my last period..

Really I'm just going to all the time.

Since I saliva checked, cm checked and temp charted for the last baby, at some point for the next one I'll go off my pills and see what happens. If after a bit I'm not pregnant then I break out the opk strips and thermometer again. We don't have a date as such. I actually run out of pills in a few months and am debating whether to get 3-4 months more or just see how it goes.

I have been hoping to 'accidentally' get pregnant over the past few months. Unfortunately my mind is fixed on sept 2011.

We're planning on going in stages. We're going to stop using condoms and start using the withdrawl method for a while, and then NTNP (not charting or anything). If we don't get pregnant NTNP then I'll chart and temp and such but I hope I don't have to. The women in my family tend to be super fertile.
