I was on ovranette for years and had completely normal cycles from the day I came off so for me this pill didnt last in my system

However, I am off the pill now until we ttc as I feel happier off it and want my body to be completely un inhibited by the time we get there

#hope your appointment went well?

Thanks for the reply. He said I can stay on it until I am happy to come off/ready to TTC. I am just so unsure what to do at the mo due to money etc!

I asked nurse at my GPs what I needed to do if wanting to TTC & she said nothing, just stop taking pills (microgynon 30 for last 14 yrs!), use some other contraception for 6 months & we'll be good to go. Now I just need to get OH to agree that we're ready!

I think everyone worries about that to some degree, but you're doing the sensible thing & giving yourself a chance to save what you can before you TTC & then there's the 9 month wait! Also, babies don't need everything to be brand spanking new - Ebay has tonnes of stuff on there & I bet your friends would happily lend you bits & bobs to help out. My friends have a pool of maternity clothes & baby equipment that gets passed round!

Happy waiting!

We can barely save anything tbh If we had a baby now for the last 6 months of maternity we would be in minus cash so I need to sort something. Its frightening as people who dont work manage and we both work full time and have mortgage etc and would really struggle.
