I think I'm going slightly mad!!

Hey!

I don't know if I'm normal or finally going completely around the bend but my broodiness seems to be getting worse with every passing day! All I seem to think about nowadays in getting pregnant - I know this is a similar thing for most of us on here but it's come so suddenly for me!

I never used to think about babies 24/7 until recently and it has hit me hard!! My OH is great and just as excited as me to start a family - he's always wanted kids where I never was so bothered! However I'm struggling to really make him understand how I am feeling.

What's making all this so much harder is that other than my OH I don't really have anyone to talk to about how I am feeling. My parents aren't keen on the idea of grandchildren and my OH's family would just put an enormous amount of pressure on us if they knew what we were thinking/planning.

We are also a little concerned that we may not be able to concieve (we've had a few scares in the past) and so don't want too many people knowing our plans just in case they don't work out. I don't like the thought of people talking about us or feeling sorry for us if we can't have children. I would rather than think that we never wanted them or planning to have them in the first place.

I also want to keep it a surprise for everyone and finally telling everyone that we are expecting is one of the things that I fantasise about the most!

We are planning to start trying in September next year but if the last couple of weeks are anything to go by then the next 9 months are going to be torture! I've also just learnt that my SIL is expecting - I'm super excited for her but can't help but wish that it was me.

I have a feeling that this place is going to be my salvation during the waiting period - and probably beyond if we are lucky - I look forward to getting to know you all better.

Sorry for the long message - I just wanted to say "hi" and to let you know what's going on in my head.

I totally know how you feel. We are just saving up some money right now. I am always trying to figure out where I can save a penny to get to my goal faster!

thats the same for me too, all my friends are pregnant or have newborns so ive found myself slipping out of my social circle, as i feel slightly left out (not that im not happy for them because i am, im thrilled for them but it just makes it sooo much worse for me)

I know how you feel, it hit me like a 10 tonne truck.

I've decided now that the only thing holding us back is getting married - if only he'd propose so we can get planning and get a wedding out of the way!

It's such a shame that we we're not already married before the broodiness hit as now I feel like I've taken a bit of excitement out of marriage in desperation for us to start trying

lol aww ideally my OH would liked to have been married before we had a baby but with my back problems that isnt possible, and we decided that we'd get married between baby 1 and 2 (if i was able to have more than one)
