Hahaha! Same, it looks so so so silly and it's very awkward when he puts it on, always try and hide my awkward smile/laugh lol. I'm so glad I've persuaded him to use natural methods but then again I also wouldn't mind if we had an accident - I don't think he would either, he has started talking about pregnancy, babies and family a lot now.

We haven't done it yet, had the conversation two days ago after using a condom...so I'm guessing it will be tonight ahaha.

From research I've done, it's only safe if you really know your cycle and stuff, I only came of cerezette 3 weeks ago so I'm not really totally sure, apart from I know i ovulated the other day so should be safe now.

I have a calendar and noted CM changes, which is how I know I ovulated...hope it works though or I will feel really bad for talking him in to it! But I'm really excited because it seems like the first natural step towards TTC (I hope)
I also think he's ok with it because I have had such bad experiences with contraception (pills make me go crazy and condoms being very uncomfortable)

xxx

Oh also, I can imagine withdrawing ruining the moment a bit, he was like 'where do I come' lollll but I guess that's safer than coming inside, especially around ovulation.

Yeah me and my OH have talked about calendar based method and maybe withdrawal aswell, hes keen but hes just worried its not safe (im happy for an accident, he isnt so sure although he said if it happened we'd be fine) It would be our next step toward NTNP though. I know my dates pretty well, but hes still unsure i really want to take that route it seems so much more the natural step for us personally than straight into TTC (as i would put too much pressure on myself to fall pregnant) I cant be on the pill due to side effects to condoms have been our only form of protection (even though ive hoped one might break but nothing yet lol) i find condoms uncomfortable and he does too so its just seeing how much he trusts me when i say i know my days. Thanks for that hun xx

What about the diaphram or sponge birth control? I'm not sure if it's latex free. I have a latex allergy, but I'm on birth control. Another option would be temping. I know the ttc'er's do it, but I had an amazing Biology teacher that taught natural family planning at the local hospital and he said if you temp and know when you ovulate that you can use that as birth control alone and there's no reason to have to use condoms or anything. Also then you'd be one up on your game when you start TTCing.

Try convincing, there's loads of info online, as long as you know when you're ovulating and use condoms then or pull out, in theory it should work
