Sorry to anybody who's feelings I have hurt (Sheryle, Olyve and littlemonster). And, those of you who have experienced struggles, my heart goes out to you. That was exactly the opposite of my intention so it just goes to show no matter how careful you are with how you word things on the internet you still can hurt somebody's feelings when you never meant to. We are all individuals, we all have our own personal set of circumstances. What is right for one woman is not necessarily right for another. My posting was just my (obviously somewhat clumsy) attempt to try and help others avoid heartache in the future, due to misinformation, because unfortunately there is a lot of that out there, mainly that a lot of people aren't aware that fertility does generally decline after 35. I have so much to be grateful for, a wonderful man who took me 38 years to meet, 2 beautiful cats and good health. I just meant that it is impossible to know whether or not you have a fertility issue at any age until you try. The reason I didn't mention that younger women can also face fertility issues, littlemonster is that I thought that might frighten people unnecessarily, as it is less common in younger couples. But whilst fertility issues may indeed affect couples at all ages they are far more likely to affect women in the age group over 35 and also fertility treatments are less successful in women over 40. At the end of the day we all need to listen to our own heart because these are very personal decisions in life. I never meant to advise anyone to rush into TTC when that is not right for you, just that if it is the right time, hey go for it! I'm just feeling really emotional about this with Christmas coming up. Happy Christmas everyone and please no hard feelings because I didn't mean to cause offense. To those of you who are experiencing difficulties, I am sending you Babydust for Christmas. And thank you so much for your kind words of support. I will keep you posted. Because I haven't given up hope just yet! xxx

I am sorry for your struggles. But it is good to keep in mind that your fertility does go down after 35, statistically. Some women have problems before , some have no problems in their 40s. For someone like me in their late 20s with a good job, wonderful DH, and at a good point in their lives it's a matter of being mentally ready. Reading this post really helped me move closer to TTC. I have to get over obsessing over the perfect time. Thanks!!!
