Hello :)

Hi everyone, I'm new to all of this, been hanging around for a while and finally plucked up the courage to post

I'm Kate and I'm 18...I'm aware a bit younger than a lot of the ladies on here but I can assure you no less broody!

I've been with my OH now for coming up to two years, and, while I am fully aware we're not in the right situation at the minute to have a baby I just can't help really wanting to!

I've wanted to be a Mum for as long as I can remember, and if I'm honest, with us not always getting what we want, have always been terrified I won't be able to be, and the thought of having to wait several more years seems like torture. The whole thing seemed to come to a head after a bit of a pregnancy scare a couple of months ago. Looking back I realise how unlikely it was that I could have actually been pregnant, but at the time it was all I could think about and, while I obviously knew it was for the best when the test came back negative, a part of me couldn't help but feel slightly gutted, and wonder what could have been.

So many girls I know are currently pregnant, many around my age if not younger, and, even though I know there's no way of me joining them anytime soon, I can't help but feel slightly jealous...anyone in the same boat?

Aww thank you

I figured it would be nice to talk to people who feel the same as me, completely agree about OH not being able to understand

Iv been wanting a baby for such long time too, but my husband wanted us to get a house and to settle down propely then to get married which has taken a good part of 2 years! But fingers crossed as we have now done that we can start trying next year.
Its all a matter of time, but it will come round quicker than you know. Keep you chin up!

Im in the same boat too!! We are a similar age (im just a few years older) and I have wanted to be a mummy since I was at least 13!! You cant just ignore your maternal instinct its natural and no matter how hard it is to wait we need to wait untill our situation is better before we bring a life into the world!! Welcome to bnb

welcome to BnB

As ERConnell said you can't just ignore it, men will never full understand how us women feel, if only we could make them feel how we do even just for one day, I'm sure we would all be pregnant before we know where we are!

Welcome! I was 22 when I fell pregnant and am 23 now, so still quite young. I can't wait for #2! But I always thought I couldn't have babies, and was desperate since I was about 16. I was diagnosed with PCOS though and my doc told me to start trying as early as possible! Thankfully this was a good arguement for OH, I just told him it could take years and years, when actually it only took 11 months! haha!

Good luck hun
