I have a puppy that I adore! Ok, so she's almost 4 so technically she's not a puppy...but she a little dog so to me, she'll always be a puppy!! I got her when I was still in college and lived on the top floor of my apartment building, so of course she's puppy pad trained. Easiest thing I've ever done in my life!! I knew with me working and going to school I did not want her to be put up or locked up during the day, so being puppy pad trained allowed her to run freely and go whenever she needed to.

Her name is Britlee--she was named when I was going through my BRITney spears and ashLEE simpson phase -- she's a mix of a chihuahua and a mini pincher and she is my world!!!! We've had a few close calls...she likes to eat bugs that she's allergic to but luckily I had roommates that rushed her to the vet when she swelled up like a balloon and she's alive today because of them!

LOL I love this! I have a shih-zuh! She is sitting by me in her holiday pink and green sweater that she got for Christmas from my MIL! LOL My husband and I got her as a way to solve my wanting another child 4 years ago and it worked for a while! She waits in the window for me and sleeps with us. She is just like our 3rd child!

I can't believe how appropriate this thread is for what happened to me on Christmas day

my OH gave me a card which he'd written "from" my 2 gorgeous little dogs, but the card he had done it on was a "to my special mummy" card. I nearly cried it was so cute So yes, I definitely over mother my dogs!

Can you imagine what opening a "mummy" card on christmas day did to my broodiness rating by the way?!

I'm also just a dog mom for now. Our furbaby, Max, is a 1.5 yr old Westie and we just love him to pieces. We call him our first born and I can't wait to see him as a big brother someday, haha! He was definitely a spoiled boy this Christmas from both us and my hubby's family.

Here he is as a puppy:

And then our family pic from last spring:

I'm a mum to two basset hound girls, pudding and pi

I adore them and me and my partner call each other mummy and daddy to them but we dont dress them up or anything. They think they are lap dogs and try every oppurtunity to get on your lap - considering they each weigh nearly 30kgs its agony but hilarious to watch them try.

All they want is cuddles and to be wrapped up in your arms so go a long way to subdue the baby hormones

Here's pudding she's so gentle:

pi is a pretty girl and she knows it:

Pudding being gentle again lol:

Here's double trouble together - over the CHILD GATE lol, new people that come over always ask if we have kids, they look a little bemused when we say 'no children just bassets!'

My Molly just woke up with a nightmare! I calmed her down, but she's so scared when she wakes up. Once she jolted awake, ran to lick my face, jumped up on OH's lap licked him and went right back to her spot on the sofa and fell fast asleep again. I wonder if she has dreams where we leave her?

I can join this thread we have 2 Shar-Pei they are our girls and are very much our babies, they were toilet trained to ask to go outside at 8 weeks old (very clean dogs)
I drop them off at Nannies (my mother) every day on my way to work and she babysits them and I pick them up on my way home from work! They get christmas presents from both of our parents and my sister
I would do anything for my puppies, well Lela (black one) is 2 and Chloe (Lilac one) will be 2 in June but they are our babies.
They are as good as gold with my nieces and nephews (ages 8mths to 5 years)
We also call ourselves Mummy & Daddy to them and we always get mothers day and fathers day cards from them and Christmas cards too lol
