The Alternate Day Diet is basically where you diet on one day, then the next day you eat as you normally would (within reason, of course). Here's the link that tells you all about it!

It's for real..I know I sound like an infomercial lol. I didn't buy a thing..didn't buy the book, or the pills they are offering. I just did up day/down day. On my up day, I eat breakfast, lunch, dinner..whatever I want..even some chocolate at night! Then on the down days, I drink a LOT of water (which you should do anyways) and try to only eat 500 cals for the day. I know most people scream YOU WILL MESS UP YOUR METABOLISM LIKE THAT! But one day of 500 cals will not reset your metabolism..as long as you're eating the next day. It doesn't give your body a chance to go into starvation mode. It burns a ton of cals by the end of the week. I can easily lose 2 lbs per week safely..more if I wanna get extreme, but that's just me. I lost 30 lbs in 5 months last time. Hope I can this time! If you want any other advice with this, or wanna give it a try, I'm happy to walk you thru it The first couple of down days are the hardest. Once you get used to it, it really is easy and the weight falls off

Hmm interesting, I can see how it would work to be fair, but I could never eat that little for me it works better to straight line the calories every day than to do it up and down. But that's personal choice.

I also agree I wouldn't have thought it would damage your metabolism, as it's not sustained or anything.

Good luck x

i've done lipotrim before and lost 2 1/2 stone in 10 weeks, its just 3 milkshakes a day and water or black tea/coffee to drink. started cambridge diet yesterday which is the same but shakes are much nicer and they have bars/porridge/soup which are ok too. only can have 3 of one a day. dont know if you can do it if you have IBS though? I'm the same though, i want to lose 2 1/2 stone before ttc x
