Losing weight...yeah right!!!!

The whole point in me wtt is to lose about a stone in weight from baby number 1. I have until Feb,March,April i want to try in any one of these months.
I just have no motivation what so ever. Im at work in an office all week whch really does not help. I think rather than the food its exercise that im lacking.
By the time i get home from work and cook and spend time with lo im exhausted to move.
I really need to get a move on. Any ideas would be great.

I got a wii fit for christmas and a dance game as well so hoping come January It will be easier to excercise indoors plus its fun!! You can make workouts and it tells you how many calories you have burnt plus tells you how much weight you have lost... Lets just see if I get the motivation when I get back from work to do a workout!

Good luck xx

calorie counting helps u lose weight with very little exercise, 40 grams of fat and 1800 calories (ok its not that easy but its not that difficult) u lose weight with a little exercise, this is only way i can lose weight without doing tons of working out (which i cant do with a bad back) little changes in diet helps heaps and, running up and down the stairs afew more times aday, walking to the shop and not driving, taking stairs not the lift etc. Hope that helps

I totally agree with the diet thing. Well not diet exactly but portion control. Cutting back in how much you eat in each meal, drinking more water. Healthy snacks and no sweets can go a long way to getting where you need to go. 20 mins of walking briskly a 5-7 days a week can do wonders. Its about getting your heart rate up.

My motivation is my puppy. She wants walks as soon as I get home, so I just keep my boots on and take her out. A quick walk but a walk none the less.

Also, why must you cook all the meals? Could your OH share some through the week?

I'm in the same boat as you, only without a LO at home. I work behind a desk for 8-10 a day, 40 hours a week. I do not snack...and I don't eat much at all when I do have lunch and dinner. I've never been big on breakfast so I don't eat it. However, when I get off work at 6 at night, I have absolutely no enegry to go work out!
Diet isn't really an option because like I said, I don't each much as it is. So for me, I'm going to get up earlier and start walking or get on the elliptical. My goal is to get back in the gym because I know once I start working out I'll have more enegry and desire to go after work.
Good luck to you!!

spark people has helped me a TON! I highly recommend it as well It has software where you can keep track of what you're eating, and keep track of your progress. It's got great forums you can be part of to help you stay motivated. Can't go wrong with it and its freeee lol

They say that not eating breakfast can slow down your metabolism. When you go such long periods without eating, your body will hold onto everything that comes into it because it's not sure when the next nutrients will come.

Think about it; say on average you sleep seven hours a night and then wait until around 11:00 am to eat. You've gone 10 hours without eating and it's probably longer than that depending on what time you last ate before going to bed.

You may find that eating smaller meals more frequently throughout the day helpful as well.

Hope that comes across as helpful and not lecturing

It comes across as helpful for sure...but it's stuff I already know. My problem is I am not hungry in the morning and if I eat I get sick (I have IBS) although I do drink a slim fast just to give my body something. As far as the snacks go, it's not something I can do at work. I usually work 9 hour days and other than lunch I don't get a break. We have "down time or slow time" that counts as our break however we can't eat or get on our cell phones are anything like that. Kinda sucks but it's good because it keeps me from snacking like I did at my previous position with this company.
