Hey!

Hey everyone!

I'm new to the site, been lurking for about 3 weeks now and thought its about time I join!

I'm from London,26 years old and getting married next summer.

I'm not actually the one who is being made to wait...my fiance is waiting for me!He was ready years ago and if him being a primary school teacher hasn't dampened his broodiness then nothing will!

I do want kids but theres things that i would like to achieve and do before. But i don't want to make him wait for much longer so trying to meet him half way.

Hello and welcome, I'm also in London and like you I've been the one waiting to be ready and OH has been ready since forever. It's really interesting reading through other people's experiences on this site and I'm now really excited to start trying in March 2011.

Welcome

Congratulations on your wedding My fiance is totally ready for a baby too, I know I'm really lucky in that sense. Most of the time I'm broody too, but then on the occasions when I'm starting to doubt myself and whether I'll cope etc it's lovely to have both him and the ladies on this forum to talk to!

Thanks Button,

Can I ask if you wanting to wait intially was because you wanted to do certain things(which you've now done) or was it something else?

Glad you've got a TTC date now x

Yes, I finished Uni, got married, got into the career I wanted and bought our first flat (although planning to move next year to a bigger place). We also needed to get to a point where we could afford it, oh the joys of London prices! Good luck with your wedding, are you enjoying the planning?

Hi k32!

Thank you : )

After lurking on here for a few weeks i do appreciate that i don't have to wait for my Fiance to be ready as it must be a difficult and at times frustrating.Esp when there doesn't seem to be any clear reason as to why your waiting.

I do tend to analyse things quite alot so maybe i'm over thinking things to some extent but then having a baby is such a huge thing i think its warranted in this situation!lol!

But like you said its nice to discuss it with your partner and it seems like the ladies and gents on her are pretty supportive too!

Oh my word yes, me too, I totally overthink everything! That's what sends me into my panics that I'm not ready/ we won't cope etc. But as you said, when a baby is involved it's such a huge thing that I would be a lot more worried if I was just rushing into it blindly!

I understand completely where your coming from!Buying a place was one of the things i wanted to do before babies but as we're paying for the wedding ourselves all our money is going into that first.Once that's been paid for then we will start saving for a deposit(a very big deposit with London prices!).

I think i'm slowly coming to terms with the idea that unless i win the lottery we won't be able to buy a place anytime soon.Mister wants to have his first before he's 34 so i'm trying to work towards this age which gives me just over 3 years. So i wouldn't mind being pregnant or LO still beng quite young and we buy a place.Thats one of my compromises!lol!

Cheers my dear!i'm just trying to enjoy the run up to the big day.Once i found the venue i started to enjoy the planning tbh.It took me 6 months to find it and i was looking every single day for venues.

I'm within my industry (career wise) but not in the job i want, hoping 2011 will bring better things.
I've got 3 more modules to complete and then i would have finished my post grad course.

How are you finding all things wedding?
