How long have you been WTT?

As the title says, i was just wondering how long everyone has been waiting?

Are you wtt for your first, second or more

We're currently wtt for number 2, and have been since December 2008, when our daughter was turning 6 months. she's now 2 and half (!) and we're thinking of moving over (to ttc) later this (2011) year, though nothings set yet.

So, i've been wtt for 2 years now, it seems to have gone scarily fast tbh!

I have been broody for the last year but i have been officially waiting for about a month. I was waiting for my husband to be ready to say "yes".
I would have like to have tried straight away but we have an amazing around the world holiday booked for July/August so i can be about to give birth or have a baby so we have decided to wait till Feb. At least then if i do get pregnant before we go then i will be in the first or second Tri, and i think that will be fine... even if i am round in a bikini!

Well mine is a very long story/wait depending on where you feel the waiting really starts, so to make it easier I have kind of split it up.

I met my DH when I had just turned 19 and right from the beginning we knew we wanted a family together however I was still at Uni so that was out.

When I was 20 ˝ I had finished my uni course and we bought our first house but agreed to give ourselves five years to get the house how we wanted it, get married and get our careers off to a good start.

Anyhow 5 years into this plan I was offered a fantastic job but it was on the condition that I also completed my masters degree so I started that. We were now married and had our house just how we wanted. A side effect from my new job was more money , and greed got the better of us and as we had more spare cash we wanted a bigger, better house in a nicer area (better for our children to grow up in).

So we found our perfect house just as I was finishing my masters but it needed loads of work doing on it (It had been condemned and we weren’t allowed to live in it for a year until it was safe). This was 6 years ago and we now spend all our time sorting out the house, as we are doing it all our selves, but we think we have only got another 6 months work on it for it to be perfect. (I’m a real perfectionist and control freak, the thought of bring a child into a house that wasn’t ready fills me with dread ) So all in all we will probable be waiting about 16 years but that is from when we first decided we wanted a family it has only really be pressing for the last 2 years (my clock has really been ticking) So at worst 16 year at best 2 ˝. And this will be for number one……

It has been 9 1/2 years since our last child was born. We finally made up our minds in September of this year that we would TTC #3 in January of 2011 now do to some needed dental work we have pushed back to Feb 2011. SO I would say 9 1/2 years.

I've been feeling the first urges since I was ....about 4 or 5 LOL I told my mom that I wanted to be a mommy when I grew up!

Actually though, I remember my first twinges of *want* to be about 6 years ago. I have been really wanting for about 3.5 years and was with the wrong guy. He wasn't ready (didn't have a job, direction or ambition...or desire for kids) So that ended and I got with OH about 1.5 years ago. About 3 weeks after our first date he asked me how many kids I wanted. I said 3. He only wanted 1 but we've decided 2 will be our magic number (here's hoping for twins on our second round!)

Its been getting worse now that we live together. but yes actually 3.5 years that I've been brooding. And about 6 months since its been out of control!
