I have completely convinced myself...

... that I'm pregnant. Am I a total nutter? I don't keep track of when I'm on but I thought I was due around now, but it hasn't come. And every little symptom I have I keep putting down to pregnancy. I'm ill at the moment (just a bit of a cough and a sore throat) so I've got a high temp with it. But that could also be down to the period... or pregnancy. And I've got back pains, which could be down to either. And I've got a really sore tummy (don't even know if that is a pregnancy symptom!) but that's more likely to be because of my dog climbing all over me!

Tell me to shut up!! And tell me to wait!!

I had to get it out on here... I don't wanna tell OH, he'd just think I was baby mad!

no you're not a total nutter! I think sometimes when you want something enough, you can turn every little thing into a reason to keep hoping. About 18 months ago my OH and I had a "whoopsie" moment and because of that it was unlikely but slightly possible that I was pregnant... well I was the same as you, for the rest of the month every time I felt a bit nauseous or had a headache... well that was it, it was a definite sign! It turned out that I wasn't pregnant, but someone with the exact same symptoms could have been I guess so I think thats why we end up obsessing.

If you think that you are a little bit late and there's a chance you could be pregnant then why not do a test? At least then you'll know one way or another and can stop driving yourself mad I hope it all works out in the way you want!

Definitely not a nutter!

We just crave a baby so badly that we tend to do this to ourself. I've done the same so many times I've lost track. AF arriving always gets my mind back on track.

My best suggestion is to just test.

Thank you all for not considering me a nutter!

Anyway I told OH and he said OK then lets do a test. So we did and I'm not.

But I had completely convinced myself! It must just be because I'm so broody just now (and have been looking all over this forum too much!) As soon as AF arrives I'll probably snap out of it!

After all that the OH thinks he remembered when I was last on - and I was way out! I can't remember for sure but now we're guessing I'm not due for another few days. I guess with being busy over christmas it just feels like it was longer since I was last on.

On the plus side... it led us onto a conversation about when to try. We've never really sat down and talked seriously like that and he's said if I want to NTNP then we can, because he would like to have kids but he's just never really thought about when to actually try.

On one hand, this is really exciting!! But on the other, I'm now wondering if this is what he really wants or if he just wants to make me happy. And I'm trying to remind myself of all the sensible reasons for WTT...
