Age gaps...

Hi, i was just wondering what age gaps everyone is planning or will have between babies?

My 2nd will be 1 next week and we are soo broody! His sister will be 4 in March! I was happy with the age gap we had last time but now we're contemplating ttc!

I really wanted to apply for midwifery this year but part of me thinks i should wait until we've had the 3rd baby we know we want and then get my career on track whereas another part of me thinks its time for me to do something for myself!

I would aim on another Jan/Feb baby so there would be 2 years between baby and Harry if we did start ttc!

xx

Just now I think 2 years between each as I'd like to enjoy each one for a bit, but I'll probably change my mind once I've had my first!

I would like two close together within two years of each other and then another two bubs about five or six years later... I say this because my mums suffering from 'empty nest syndrome' because we have all moved out now and I would want to keep my kids in the home as long as possible!! haha xx

We've been so torn about when to try for our second. We have both been so broody since having Summer but firstly i had a c section so was advised to leave it at least 6 months (which it now has been), and i feel we should give Summer 100% of our attention before having another.

My husband though would have loved me to be pregnant already. We've set our ttc date as 1st May this year, Summer will be 10 months so hopefully if it happened as fast as the first time there would be no more than 2 years between them.

The more my husband goes on about it though and the more people are getting pregnant around me the more i want to try now!

x

We are gonna start ttc#2 in may 2011 when our son is almost 1. If we get pregnant at the first try it will be 1 year and 9 moths between the kids We are getting married in may, otherwise I would like to start right now But i already bought my dress

I think it depends which feels stronger for you, your urge to get your midwifery, or have your third baby?

An extra year off now is nothing really to put midwifery off for another year..so if you're broody, go for it. I think it's a simpler way of doing things tbh.

I'm qualifying this year (not midwifery lol) then plan to have 3 very close together then really get stuck back into my career and earning some pennies after all 3 are done, lol!

I am desperate to do midwifery but i would hate to fall pregnant during the course and jepordise it. Harry is 1 next week so i thought if we started ttc in the spring we would get a nice 2 year gap, think dh and need a good chat about it x

Well...I have been with my hubby for 10 years this year (since we were 16) and i have been waaay broody since then. I did my nurse training, then moved in with DH and then applied for the fast track midwifery course which is 18 months and got married during the course but then I just couldnt cope with the broodiness any more...even though i managed to wait 8 years i just couldnt wait any longer and the midwifery course DID NOT HELP...all the bumps...the excitement of labour...the babies...we TTC whilst on the midwifery course, luckily i get paid staff nurse wages as its a fast track course so i was entitled to a decent mat pay, i'm back on the course now, i have 4 months left but i am waaaay broody again lol. Only thing stopping me is the fact i want to lose my baby weight first, so we will ttc next month to march time...if we conceive straight away there will be a 20 month gap. So if I were you i'd have another baby first because it is difficult to wtt whilst on a midwifery course, especially because yours would be 3 years...but its completely your choice, thats just what i'd do xx

I have a 6 year gap between my oldest and my youngest and if everything goes right, there will be about 3 years between my youngest and my new baby. I love having the huge gap between the 2 I have now because the oldest can help out so much with my toddler.
