OH is broody

OH is really broody. Everytime he sees a baby he talks about wanting one, whenever our toddler acts up (usually close to bedtime cause she's getting tired) he says she needs a sibling to play with, etc.

It makes it hard to be WTT because we both want another...

We really don't have room in our current house for another baby at this time.
I am in college and should have a certificate by September so I can start applying for better jobs.
WHEN I have a better job we'd like to move to another city that's a lot more affordable in terms of housing- we can get more house for less money, newer house, etc.
I also want to get married before we have another baby, because it's important to me.. and if we have another, even if we have the money, it's so hard to spend that kind of $$ on yourself when you have a house and kids.. it could go so far.. and I'd feel selfish spending it on us.

I didn't want a large age gap.. no more than 3 years.. I feel strongly about this.. but feel like I am going to have to compromise to accomplish the 3 things on our list (education, move, marriage) before #2.

I don't know what I want really just to let out my frustrations and whine I guess

This is very similar to my current situation. Was always very adamant I didn't know a large gap either and now I'm weighing up the right thing to do. Its definitely not easy!

That does sound like a tricky situation! Have you considered having a small wedding (literally just the ceremony and maybe a small gathering afterwards) and then celebrating it with a bigger celebration or blessing when you have more money? That way you can kind of have best of both...

It's not so much the wedding as I KNOW we will get some help from my parents and/or his if we need it.. and we already sort of have a plan for it, it's the engagement ring lol. I'm not engaged yet. OH insists we will not be getting engaged until he can afford to buy me the ring he wants to get me and refuses to entertain any other options ie: smaller/cheaper ring etc. He's happy to wait but I feel like I am spending my life waiting and what if it never actually happens, we have a house, a big sum of money is so easy for us to spend on... new windows.. renovating the basement.. renovating the bathroom.. a new car.. a down payment for our next house.. etc

whine away tasha sweetie. i totally agree wtt becomes harder when your both wanting! both me and james are broody atm, before christmas, he was ready, but i thought we should wait, so we were letting our heads rule our heart!
i'm sure there are ways round you achieving all your wtt goals, perhaps you could both talk it through and find a solution and time line for when your hoping to do things xx

oh it is really hard. maybe you could sit down and try and work out what the priority really is for you both? i.e if you could only have one of those things what would it be? although maybe this wouldnt work as i'm sure the answer would be trying for another baby. hmmm I guess what i'm trying to say is that you sound liek you have a lot of important things you want and they're startign to conflict so maybe theres a way of choosing the best solution by looking at it from a different perspective?

soemtimes i wonder if there will always be a "sensible" reason as to why we should wait longer before trying if you know what i mean?
