TTC date put back... :(

Iím feeling really down today because we have had to put back our TTC date by 7 month.
We were originally going to try in Feb because we are going on a month long around the world trip in July/August with my family so we wanted to make sure that if I was pregnant then it would be in the second tri.

I have spoken to my mom and husband and they both think we should wait till after the holiday. I know that the holiday is going to be great and amazing because it is a once in a lifetime chance but I feel so upset. Last night I felt heartbroken.
I know my head is telling me that I should wait and it would be better but I canít stop my heart saying BABY, BABY, BABY!

Sorry itís a bit of a long post, I just needed to get it out. Im going to have to find something to do for 7 months before I end up going mad. I suppose the only good thing is we can BD in every country.

Im WTT for our 2nd and just wanted to say as hard as it is to wait, I do think its best. I had HORRIBLE morning sickness w/ DS. I was being sick at least 10 times a day and kept a bucket in the car in case i needed to be sick when driving. I was also hospitalized because of this and put on a drip for dehydration & starvation because i couldnt even keep down water, let alone a full meal. The morning sickness didnt disappear til about 24 weeks either. The last place i would want to be was travelling. I do think your right to wait because although my case is extreme, you never know how pregnancy will effect your body. Big hugs.

As hard as it is I think you would be best to wait as you want to enjoy your once in a lifetime holiday and you don't want anything that could possibly put baby at risk also whilst you are away like tummy upsets or anything! and when you are back you will be all relaxed from your holiday it may even happen quicker

I am also starting TTC in hopefully Aug-11 so 7 months for me too and it is going to be so hard!

To keep you occupied before you can TTC is planning for your wonderful holiday and of course holiday shopping

Thanks, I do know in my head it is best to wait but at the moment it doesn't feel like it. I think it is because it was so close.
My husband is a lot older than me and has occasional times of feeling he is too old. I worry that 7 months won't help, but I guess it could just make him more keen to try on holiday

I said to my husband jokingly that if we conceive in Australia then we could call the baby Sydney.

I do know how you feel, in the sense of knowing that waiting is for the best but not wanting to! I know you've had a setback but at least you have your trip to look forward to (sounds amazing!) and you can come back from that knowing you can start TTC. And trust me the 7 months will just fly by! xx

I know exactly how you feel! We set our date back as well and it ripped my heart out. It's hard. But hang in there - you have a trip of a lifetime ahead of you!
