Anyone WTT because of medical reasons?

I think we could be great support to one another if there is anyone else who has to move their TTC, or can't set a TTC date because of medical reasons.
(medication, surgery, illness, or whatever it may be).

My story: I have a dermoid cyst on my right ovary (Just found out in Dec), it's getting bigger and causing me a lot of pain. Right now I'm in limbo because I'm not scheduled to see the Gynecologist or do a follow up ultrasound until March.

I'm getting really bummed out because more and more it looks like I won't be TTC in June like I've planned. I've spent months preparing for this, and getting so excited everytime I see my counter.
The odds are I need surgery, I can accept that - I'm preparing myself for that - My problem is that if we don't come to that decision until March I will still have to wait to get in for surgery.
Who knows when that will be! After that, I'll have to get healed up before we can TTC. I can't guarantee I'll be ready to TTC on June 1st!

Anyone else have medical problems that are just causing you grief and stress?
Come on and rant, chat, whatever.

well, i got my medical problem fixed, but if i didn't..me getting pregnant again would be a risk.
I had Ventricular Tachycardia where my heart rate would go up to 245 BPM putting me at risk for cardiac arrest. They told me I had to get a catheter ablation to fix it before I thought about getting pregnant again.
Well, I had it done in December, but am still waiting to get pregnant for financial reasons.

I am waiting too at the moment

Have a lesion on my pituitary ..endocrinologist says to hang fire for now. Could cause me to loose my vision or parts of it. until she investigates more, got to wait...she said to be careful.

We have been NTNP past few months... need to figure out what we are going to do the next 3 months

Noshowjo - I was on Zoladex when I was little for precocious puberty, horrid stuff!! 8 years of the stuff!

Hi guys .. good idea for thread

Hi my OH had a tumor on this pituitary gland which he has surgery on op went well but his pituitary gland doesn't work anymore so has to take medication for it so there is a 99.9% chance his don't work or aren't very strong so he will have to change his medication and have injections to help make them stronger! We have a hospital appointment booked next week so hopefully we can get the ball rolling!! Can take the injections anything between 6months to 2 yrs to work and if that doesn't work we will have to go through IVF

That's a difficult position to be in, waiting to get stronger, but in waiting your back will get weaker. yikes! (I am not liking the waiting game) You need to convince your OH that now's the time

Oh my! I hope you don't loose any of your vision. What do they have to do to investigate more? that sounds scary.

I hope the appointment goes well next week, you will have to keep us updated - it would be great to get things going. And with any luck maybe the injections will work really quickly (I'll send good thoughts your way, hopefully you won't have to go through IVF)
