Getting impatient with work!

Hi there,

We have decided that we will TTC in April, we have also decided that after maternity leave I will not go back to work and be a stay at home mum with my little ones.

The problem I have is that I CANT WAIT!!! Work has been really stressful lately and I its starting to send me bonkers! I really want to just get up and go but know that I should be sensible and stay to at least get my maternity pay. Is anyone the same, now because I know I am leaving I really just dont give a crap about my job, although it is a fair way off before I actually go!

I dont think it helps that they take me for granted at work and always expect a little bit extra every day.

sorry but just wanted a moan!

sorry to hear work is a bit stressful for you at the mo, I imagine it is difficult to have motivation when you know you are going to leave but just try to keep that end goal of leaving in mind knowing you aren't going to be there forever. It does make sense to stay to get your maternity pay, don't forget though if you get any pay over SMP then you could be eligible to pay some of it back if you don't return to work after maternity

I'm totally the same! I'm on maternity leave at the moment but go back to work part time in April. The thing is I know were going to ttc in may and we have decided after that baby I won't be returning to work either and will be a stay at home mum. Part of me just thinks it's not worth going back at all now! But I know it's better to be sensible and go back to get maternity pay again.

Waiting is the hardest thing in the world. And to top it all off my brother in laws wife has just (at 10.00pm last night) had her new baby and it's made me even more broody if that's possible!

X
