How many months....?

Hi ladies, so yesterday we got anew bit of bad news that could seriously impact our TTC, I want to TTC in aug 2012, but we now have to fly abroad in march 2013, and my understanding is you cannot fly in the third trimester?!

Then I need to be back at work for dec for year end, so if I have only 3 months off then basically to be less than 6 months in
march and to be back to work in time I will have a two month window!!!

All the women in my family have fallen first or second month of trying but I am Seriously concerned that this is not enough time and how much pressure it would put on me and oh!!

Oh of course thinks you try and it happens straight away so does not get what I am worrying about!!!!

How many months of TTC is average??

Sorry for long message!! X

I think 3 months is the average. I got pregnant 3 times (2 MMC, 1 pregnancy) in the first month with the method of not tracking ovulation but every day/at least every other day. But it is considered normal for up to a year and a half so you can never really tell. Good luck.

I think the true average is 6 months. It took me 2 months with both of my pregnancies. But perfectly fertile couples can take a year or more to get pregnant.

It took me 5 months . I don't think there is an average as such as everyone is different! I think the healthier you are the more chance you have of being successful, buy DTD every other day keeps the swimmers healthy and fresh, and should you ovulate there are always some waiting for the egg!

I think you can still fly during your third trimester, as long as you're having a "normal" pregnancy and your doctor doesn't think you're at risk of going into labor. Giving birth on a plane isn't favorable , but as long as that's not a concern, I don't think there's anything inherently bad about flying while pregnant.

Apparently airlines vary, stopping you flying between 34 and 36 weeks and needing a letter from your doctor giving you the ok to fly after 26 weeeks. Xx

Are you flying somewhere exciting? There could be a positive light to the situation if you are flying for a good/important reason.
