Yeah most people look at Eilidh and think it's Ellie or something similar.

Do you think Ailee is obvious how to pronounce it or still too hard?

It kind of is and isn't all at the same time - not very helpful am I!

I think when you first see it, it isn't at all but then when you know how to pronounce it it looks more logical xx

Ok, at least I have plenty of time to think about it!

I really liked Macy but my best friend just called her daughter Maisie and it's a bit too similar!

Ah I hate it when that happens!

We have boy and girl names picked out and we aren't even going to be TTC until over a year from now. We had chosen names for our daughter before she was even conceived too

It took us a while to get the name for this little princess.

At first I wanted Elizabeth. That's my favorite girl's name. And I wouldn't listen to anyone who suggested anything else. So we chose Elizabeth Lyla-Mae.

After I calmed down and my hormones situated to a more useful less obstinate position, we talked it over, and I decided I liked this better.

Her name is Lyla Elizabeth. Lyla is her paternal grandmother and greatgrandmothers name, and as my OH's mom didn't have any girls, we are now passing it on. Both his mom and grandma went by their middle names cuz they didn't like "Lyla" so she may choose to go by Elizabeth, but I personally really love the name Lyla. I think it's lovely, so that is what we will call her.
