Recommended pre-tcc reading?

Just wondering if y'all have can recommend any pre-TTC books?

I was just doing a search and found "What to expect before your expecting" and "Take charge of your fertility" books. Anyone read either of these or can recommend any other good reads that give valuable info?

I second the Taking Charge of Your Fertility. Having just read it, I understand why doctors wouldn't recommend it as a form of birth control. But if you're actually *trying* to get pregnant, it seems pretty invaluable.

I bought a book all about pregnancy and conceiving and I've frightened myself LOL The talk about all kinds of things that can go wrong etc. I'm trying to stay positive though.

I own "what to expect before you're expecting" - found it at a used book store last summer before I even made my final decision that I would become a single mom. It's pretty good and held my attention enough. Curious about the Taking Charge one though... heard that one mentioned on boards here and there.

Yes, I recommend FF too! I've been on it since August and have learned SO MUCH about my body and my cycles. Here I always thought everyone O'd on cd14 but turns out I O on cd18 - so I laugh at how many times I "freaked out" because AF was "late".

Definitely check it out. The basic site is free!

I haven't read any books but I have joined FertilityFriend.com and they have loads of useful information on there about charting and how to know when you body is at it's most fertile etc! although I am WTT I am charting as I want to know my body is working as it should and also so when the time does come to TTC we can catch quick as I will know my cycles inside and out!
