Feeling so depressed :(

Hiya guys. I haven't been on here in quite a while, but I'm feeling so depressed at the moment! One of my best friends has just had her little boy, another one of my best friends has a gorgeous little girl who is just over 18months, and practically 1/3 of people on my Facebook are announcing their pregnancies. I'm happy for them, but very jealous. I'm only 20-21 in a few months so i know i have plenty of time yet. My OH understands why i get upset, but we both know we cant afford it yet. I currently work as an admin assistant and I am looking for care assistant work to gain experience and complete my nvq 2 and 3 to hopefully then gain a job with the nhs so I can get sponsored to do a nursing diploma with the open uni. My OH is only working at a nightclub on Saturday nights at the moment-he should hopefully start working with my dad at the end of this month and then start volunteering at our local police station also, so he can gain experience for when the police force do eventually start hiring again, as that is his dream job. Ahh I hate feeling like this xx

aww hunni we all feel like this at times! im currently waiting for my DH to finish university, and its just seems ages away! i get down all the time but you just have to try and focus on the good things in your life. Spending time with your OH, enjoying free time going out and doing whatvever you feel like becuase as soon as you have children things all change. I dont have any yet but this is what ive heard. hehe.

Im a nurse in the NHS, and it is great to know that it is a job for life, so you focus on getting your diploma and it will all work out best in the long run..............keep foucusing!!!!!!!!

xx

I will do I want to make sure we both have stable jobs and somewhere to live, as well as money saved up! So I guess in the long run all this waiting will be worth it xx

Aw hun, I know when you've got a long wait ahead of you it can seem as though that day will never arrive, especially if your head is telling you to be sensible and your heart is longing for a baby.

You're doing the best thing for you both as a couple which in turn will be the best thing for your children.

As Jodylee said, concentrate on enjoying all the quality time you have with your oh at the moment, go on holidays and enjoy the freedom for a while. I always knew having a baby would drastically change my life and I'm glad now I waited until I did all the things I wanted to do because my god I don't get a second to myself anymore. Even popping out to go shopping has to be planned out and it's not just a case of nipping out, it takes me about 20 minutes just to get us out the house with everything we need! Lol! I wouldn't change it for the world now but you'll appreciate it so much more if you're happy with all the other aspects in your life too. Plus you totally have age on your side!

In the mean time you've always got us on here to vent to when things get tough!

X

Exactly!! 100% agreed. Having a baby is amazing, but it's a total change. So just try to enjoy yourself now and focus on your goals...the time will fly by and before you know it, you'll be TTC!!

You're doing the right thing in waiting! Jus tthink what kind of life you can have when you both have good and steady jobs! I find people will not wait for anything, and want everything now. But they have no money, they live with there parents (not always a bad thing), and they're not truly happy! All it will take is a few years of hard work and then you'll be in the right place for your own baby! In the mean time you can go out and have fun, like 20 year olds should (in my opinion!).

a long wait is really hard and the girls are right above, it may seem like a long time away and may never happen but it will really be worth it in the end. Ive been waiting for a long time and fear i have to wait even longer, but bnb girls and specially wtt girls have been great and really helped me along the waiting time x
