I'm back in here .. kind of ok about it

Well I'm back WTT instead of TTC. I'm kind of confused, on one hand I'm devastated because we decided that TTC was more important than anything but recently we've had our eyes opened slightly and realised there are other things that are actually more important than even we realised. So its not all bad because we've got great goals and exciting things to look forward to so I need to focus on them. No one knew how badly we wanted to TTC in real life so I thought here would be the best place to vent!

Our new goals are as follows;
  • Get married - we've set a date of 7th September 2012
  • Pay off our debts - total of 2000 on random cards/overdrafts etc
  • Pay off our car - we got it on finance but APR is shocking and payments are 200 a month so that needs to go - I'd ideally like to be a SAHM so 200 could really be the difference between whether we can afford it or not
  • Move to a bigger place in an area nearby that has better schools etc
  • I want to lose 4 stone by the time I get married (hoping its possible in 18 months!)

I have worked out that we could do all of the above by March/April 2013 so its only 2 years then we will be in a much more stable position for a baby. Just need to focus on these things to keep my mind on track!!

Those are good and important goals and will set you up better in the long run. Once you've established these things it will be much easier for you to TTC. Best of Luck!

Hi Jellymummy. I love your list. The goals sound very sensible and most importantly achievable! Good luck. Two years will fly by and like you say, you will be in the best possioble position to welcome a wee bundle into your family. X

Aw well done Sounds like a plan!

I waited for similar reasons to you, and I promise you it's worth it, you will feel SO proud of yourself.

Keep busy, what helped me was writing down goals to complete towards my plan and also I created a spreadsheet to pay off my debt (3000) I was able to pay it off much quicker than I expected because of this, I really got into it, acheived even more goals than I had planned and even saved money on a new 'savings' spreadsheet LOL, even though I was still WTT, I made a list of baby things to buy and have saved up money to buy them all! Like you I want to be a SAHM for a good year or so, and now I can!

xxx

That sounds really sensible, well done for being so organised! You will feel mode comfortable knowing that you have paid off debts. I am also trying to clear debts so I know what you mean.

Hi, I just wanted to say it sounds like a great plan, and 2 years really will go quick. My OH proposed to me 2 years ago, valentines day just gone, and when I look back on the time i wonder where it has gone.

Also wanted to say you get married 1 year and 1 day after me! Congrats.
