Advice on pregnancy after MC.

Good morning Ladies
I lost my baby at 9 weeks on 20Th Jan...(4 weeks yesterday) She(we think it was a girl) had stopped growing at 6weeks and had a slow heart beat...midwife said that it was prob dying, which i pass her naturally on the Thursday evening...pretty dramatic.Yesterday i did a test and it came up positive, only a faint line though. It was a test that tests at 25, my question if you could help is..... would my levels be that high still or am i?? Or is it still from my last pregnancy.....I'm not sure,i think i have morning sickness, and cramps but it could be in my head too,as I'm hoping to be. I hope that all who are TTC will get a sticky bean soon. sending lots of sticky baby dust to each one of you.Much love XX

HCG can stay in the system for up to 7 weeks so it is hard to tell unless you had a AF inbetween or had a negative pregnancy test inbetween.

It is best to go to your GP for blood tests to be sure of what is happening. Or you could test in a few days and if the line is getting darker it means your HCG is going up, which doesn't happen after a mc.

I feel your loss, as I had a mmc in December at 10wks. Please keep us informed Xxx

hi,
i had a m/c last year at 8 weeks. also passed naturaly and i know how awful it is but they got me to do a test two weeks later... it was still quite positive so they worried it might of been eptopic. i had to have a couple of blood tests and then check again two weeks after. to which it was negative.
if i where you i would pop to the doc just to check your hcg isnt too high as it could be a sign of eptopic. not saying it will be as mine was just natuarly very high to begin with.
also bear in mind that you are at your most fertile after m/c so if your done the deed you could be pregnant again!

Hi, AF arrived this morning, thought i would be upset that i wasn't pregnant,as all my tests(8) had been light positives for last 2 weeks. But I'm not,I'm happy that i am now back in control, and my body has recovered fully.
So I'm checking my good days and doing the deed So fingers crossed hopefully soon.Sending out sticky baby dust to everyone

Just wanted to say I miscarried in Aug. '08 at 9 weeks and my baby died at 6 weeks as well. Ended up needing a D&C because I didn't want to wait for it to go naturally. I just wanted to get it over with. But anyways, I went on the have a healthy pregnancy and gave birth in Aug. '09 a year later! So please don't ever give up hope and I hope you have a happy ending like I did!!

Sorry for your loss. I had a MMC and D&C at 12 weeks, and I was still getting positive tests (home and blood tests) right up until the time I got pregnant with my son 8 weeks later. I never did see a negative and I had tons of leftover pregnancy symptoms, so I never knew what to think. I hope you get happy news, but just wanted to say that it is possible to be getting false positives for quite a while after. Good luck sweetie
