From WTT to TTC and now back again!

What a rollercoaster!!

We were WTT in December 2011 but the broodiness hit me really badly and so I came off the pill in November 2010 and we started TTC straight away. What I didn't realise was how much the pill SCREWS up your body!!! There was me thinking I would ovulate late November-Dec

I got really frustrated with and no so started OPKs and temping and finally I ovulated on CD 84. AF then arrived 13 dpo on valentine's day!!!

We were both really gutted having gone through such a LONG cycle!!.... but I wasn't crying like I thought I would be and I felt kind of at peace with myself. I had a chat with hubby and basically there is SO much going on for us right now that actually waiting a few months would put us in a much better position for baby so we are letting our heads rule our hearts for the time being!

Basically I am a primary teacher and can apply for a pay rise in June which will start in September so give me more savings AND more on maternity leave AND return to a higher paid job.

Hubby has just over a year of his part-time degree left so will be closer to his pay rise too.

I have just started a Masters, this module will be finished in July.

It will give my cycles time to regulate themselves!!

I can have another summer competing my 2 horses, esecially my youngster who hasn't been out and about yet.

So all in all, lots fo reasons to wait. My heart still aches every time I think of having a baby BUT I know we are doing the best thing by waiting for now. We are going to re-assess in April and possibly start again May but not putting too much pressure on ourselves with a date etc.,

So hi ladies!!! Here's to a busy 2 months to make the time fly by!! xx

Helloooooooooo I am back too.

I planned on trying around December time but life just got in the way so decided to wait until I knew my cycles were back to normal. Had my coil taken out last Oct and they seem to have returned but I still want to be sure. PLUS I have a holiday in May and my birthday next month so want to enjoy them pregnancy free

I know what you mean about stopping the pill, it took months and months for my body to get back to normal when I decided to TTC for my first and was really disappointed when AF kept coming. It was so cruel.

Here's to a busy few months to help take our minds of WTT.

Hayley xxxxx

Hello,

It is indeed a roller coaster girl. I respect the fact that you two have alot going on and will try again later. I am 28 and spent every bit of my life trying not to get pregnant. I wanted to make sure that I had my stuff together as in accomplishing my goals. I went straight to college and received my BS in Criminal Justice and Sociology. I wanted a job right away so I postponed law school and became a Parole Officer. Too strenuous keeping up with parolees, so I became a cop.( I know hunh? lol) Once I became a cop, I was like oh my I am in the wrong field to try to have a baby no matter when I decided to try.

I decided to get my Master's in Business Administration to move up the chain, possibly going to the FEDS. Well I was able to apply after a year in my Master's program. I tested for agencies and passed. I opted out the interview phase because I knew that I would spend a year in training in another state, then have to move to wherever they placed me. This would have made me leave my future husband, and have pretty much nothing but my career. Since I make a nice amount of money now, I decided to pass it up. I'm 28, so if I passed now, surely I can do it again later. My boyfriend is a cop too. We decided that I would not take my depo in October thinking it'll be over a year anyway of trying. Well it took us three months, and now I'm pregnant. We are at a stable point in our lives, so we're good. It was either go to the FEDS and move, or stay with my future husband, try to conceive, and continue planning this crazy expensive wedding. I chose the second, and I do not regret opting out the FEDS at all. Good luck to you. It works a little better when you are in a better position that you want to be in

Its ounds like it has all worked out for the best for you Lawgyrl.
I know there is never a 'prefect' time, but sometimes waiting a while can put you in a much better position.

Hayley, do you have a month in mind for TTC? We have just bought ourselves a shiny estate that we will have paid off by May, perfect for keeping the dogs in the boot and for enough room for baby and baby stuff (pram etc.,).
We bought our new house in April last year so getting all the decor and garden finished off, feels like premature 'nesting' lol but I want it all to be 'right' when we do get pregnant xx

oh also.... I am 23 and hubby is 25 so we do have plenty of time but I have always wanted one before 25 then if we do decide to have another we can before I am 30. I know 30 is still young but they are ages that are in my head and no one can convince me otherwise

anytime after our holiday really so maybe may/june time? I don't want another baby around christmas time, it's hard enough with the one LOL. No doubt, I'll get to June and I'll find another reason to put it off. Just need to lose a stone before then x
