Its finally hit me!

That I am going to be WTC for a long time!!

I've always tried to convince myself that we can do it in our one bed flat, with some over drafts, and no deposit saved up for house, but you know what we can't and hubby has said he wont, and you know what I don't want to either, but sad knowing its going to be ages before we can get a house!

This year is full of holidays
2012 will be a year of saving to pay off over drafts
then 2013 we will finally be able to start saving for house.

We already have a mortgage on the flat but havent gained any equity or in negative equity due to housing crash!

I love my flat, but I sooo desperately want a house, so that after the holidays we can get going straight away!

I am not desperate to TTC right at this moment (although I do have my days) but I know in next year I will be and we wont be able too!

I don't see a light at the end of the tunnel, and as it is with most people, its all down to money! or lack of it i should say!

Sorry for the moan, Its just really hit me, I am going to HAVE to wait!!

how old are you cupcake?

im in exactly the same kinda situation as you.

we own our flat, but have already started saving for a deposit for a house and have paid off all our debts which we did alot quicker than i 1st thought.

we wont make any money on our flat when we sell but will get back 6grand of our original deposit we put down, we have been told 20k for deposit on a house!!!

if i have a baby now which i sooo want, we wont be able to borrow as much as we want for a mortgage, so have got no choice but to wait until flat is sold and have the mortgage on a house so start trying. i will defo be trying the second i step into a new house.
could be this year could ne next?
i hate not knowing, but you will be extra happy when you have a baby because it is sooo wanted!!!! XX

I know how much it sucks having to wait longer than you want. If it were up to me we'd have started 3 years ago! But we waited until life and finances are in order, and we move into our new home in a months time (YAY) and the time is finally here. It's a hard wait, I won't try to kid you, but it's so exciting to know that when the time comes it's actually all in place!

Just think how much happier you & ur little family will be when you are settled in your new home together and finacially stable! Im sure it will be worth the wait, Enjoy all your hols this year & look at them as the last one's as just a 'couple' before they become family holidays with ur babba . Hope this helps & Good Luck!! Know how you feel were stuck in a flat desperate for a house so much, paying 4 a wedding for next year. But i try to think positive xx

I agree with the above posters!! I know that its hard when you are wanting to start a family, but things are less than ideal! Until yesterday, I was in the same boat (see above thread in same section, I wont hijack your thread). I think that if you are able to save some money, pay off your debt and then start a family, you be much happier than trying to struggle through financial issues while pregnant/ with a baby. IMO, there is no "ideal" time to start a family, when you feel you are ready, you take the leap of faith and trust that everything will fall into place. In your situation, however, I think its very mature of you to wait.

Either way, everything will be just fine!! I hope you are at peace with whatever you decide!! And know that we will support you 150% either way!!

Hi I'm new!
I'm the same, its so hard! I've got 18 months of uni left but we're both so broody its always on my mind. I had my implant out a few weeks ago to let my body get back to normal (plus other problems) but there have been times when we thought we should just go for it....but then we remember that we'd have even less money and my studies to finish.
