From what everyone else says on here I'd say being scared is a sign of being ready. It actually means you're thinking seriously about what you're letting yourself in for and understanding the impact it will have on your life. Me and my OH are both scared but at the same time I know we're as ready as we'll ever be!

I feel scared and worried, like what if i cant look after my child properly and that i will be so tired i wont be able to manage

But at the same time i think, well, everyone else manages so why wont i? And then i get super excited

It's such a life changing event - I think people are weird if they're not a little bit frightened! I was told how alot of my instincts would kick in, but I have to confess - alot didn't! I did't have a clue for the 1st few months! Ha ha!

I don't think I really feel scared. I do worry that my OH doesn't have any idea what he's getting himself into. He's the youngest of 5 and never been around babies. I'm the oldest of 5 and basically raised my three youngest siblings. When I was out in public with them, everyone though I was a teen mom because I'm 10 years older than my brother and 13 and 15 years older than my little sisters.

I think my biggest worry though is how all of my dogs will react to having a baby in the house and how to keep the baby away from the dogs. I have 5 dogs who, despite being seniors, are all still quite rambunctious without the best of manners when excited.

But I guess that'll work itself out when it comes!
