I would use 1994 (current year)-1976 (my birth year) +1= 19 (my chinese age). Then cross reference 19 and July to get a boy month. If you are checking a past pregnancy, then the current year would be the year you conceived subtract your birth year then add one.

The Chinese believe you are a year old when you are born. Not sure why...
That's strange... It's still JUST wrong for me...that would put me at 20, conceiving in September, but I conceived at the very end of September & got my BFP on the 9th of October.

Besides the obvious of this chart really doesn't work, could you have conceived on October 1st? Also, it matters what time zone you are in because that affects the lunar month status. Try clicking on the links to determine the chinese age and lunar month and put in your time zone.

It was right for my first and wrong for my second I think its just a game of chance. I even tried the gender predictor kits, the one that turns green for boy and orange for girl. It was bright orange and he is defo a boy!
