They say that the egg starts to form about 3 months before maturing. So to prenatals can help make a healthy baby up to 3 months before conception!

hi Im going to sound really thick now, but i dontt get it, you realise an egg every month, so arnrt they are brand new?!

No, no thick questions here! The egg that you release during ovulation starts growing 3 months before it is released. Every time you ovulate there are several eggs that are ready to be released. Your body only allows one (except for twins) to finish the process and mature. So you have many eggs growing and preparing to be the one that's released when you ovulate. They begin growing about 3 months before they are ready to be in the running to be the one that is released. Does that make sense?

wow!!! i did not know that!! thank goodness i have started taking my preconception tablets

I'm set to start prenatal vitamins and really kick up my whole foods diet mid April. Right now I'm still enjoying my sweets but trying to work into getting more exercise
