Need advice

I have a 5 year old almost 6 and a 11 month old about to be 1. The gap is nice but my hubby wants a 3rd I do to but I don't know about having them so close. Does any one have 2 that close? I know it won't happen right off the bat, but is 2 years apart to close or no?

I guess I'm just worried about the stress of having two little ones my oldest is such a big help with the youngest and so protective of him. I think he will be the same with the next.

i know of a woman who has 5 year old (almost 6), 2 year old (almost 3) and a 7 months old (almost 1) So there is 3 years and then 2 years apart. It was a handfull because the husband had to go back to work after 2 weeks. But after a while it started to be ok and it is good now.

Also I know a woman who had two babys with 1year and 1 day age gap. When they were tiny she recomennded it to me, and still does I think. Ofcourse there will be hard days.

Good luck!

Hiya,

I don't have a close age gap as I only have one baby at the moment, my lo is coming up 8 months and we'll be ttc number 2 when she's 10 months old as we want a close gap. I have lots of friends who have big and small age gaps with their kids and the majority say the closer age gaps were actually easier to cope with and now as their kids are getting older they're very close friends and play so well together.

X

I have a friend who had twins, then a second set of twins born when the first set were 18months!!! She looks shattered, but she copes just fine and wouldn't have it anyother way. I think you do just manage. Most of my friends have had their kids with around the 2 year age gap- that's what I want (if I ever get around to having number 1!!!). My sister and I are 2 years appart and the best of friends

My sister is 21 months older than me and we are really close.

My mum also says that when I was a baby all my sister wanted to do was help her! So I had a mum and a mini-mum as she just wanted to help wash/dress/feed me!

Might be easier than you think!

Thanks, ladies I guess I'm just scared of getting more than I can handle, but I really do want to try for a girl. I'm out numbered 3 to 1, even the dog is a boy lol! I guess I might start trying in about 2 or 3 months.

O my goodness! Shes got to be a strong mom! I would freak lol! My hubby's great grandmother had 21 kids and his grandmother had 7, so he likes the idea of a large family.

Well I guess we may be ttc about the same time. I have been researching and everything I've read said the same thing closer is better cause the bond is stronger.
