WTT after ectopic.

Hi ladies,

Just thought I would introduce myself as it looks like I will be here for the next 3 months at least. I have had an awful few months, i had medical management for a mmc in nov followed by methotrexate for an ectopic on thursday just gone. I'm a 'get back on the horse' type of person so now I'm desperate to get back to TTC but have to wait 3 months until the meth is out of my system.

I dont know how I'm going to get through the next few months, how is everyone else coping? And is anyone WTT for the same reason?

Sorry to hear about your ectopic pregnancy. That must be a very hard thing to go through. I hope the next three months go very quickly for you. I'm WTT until I get fully weened off my OCD meds and they will also take a while to leave the system. It's really annoying but got to be done. I'm trying to just enjoy right now and doing the things you can't while you are pregnant like the odd glass of wine etc and of course my coffee and ciggies. Anyway welcome and I hope you enjoy your stay here.

It seems we've had the same things happen but in the opposite order - my ectopic was in June and I just had a d&c for a missed miscarriage. I too want to get back on the horse but I'll have to wait a few weeks I guess.
I had methotrexate for my ectopic as well and having to wait 3 months was disappointing, but I managed to keep myself busy and as soon as those 3 months were up we tried again. It took 4 cycles to get another and I was terrified of getting another ectopic....the baby grew in the right place, but stopped growing after a while.
About keeping busy: I've decided to join a Kung Fu club that's just around the corner from my house, and I'm hoping it'll help with my physical and mental health. After the ectopic I kept busy with summer things, but I must admit I also drank more than usual and I think it only made things worse...so, this time I've chosen activity over being a mopey drunk.
When were you given the metho? How are you feeling?

I just had it on thursday 24.02.11, and surprisingly I feel ok, I seem to have been waiting for the pain and sickness that they warn you about all weekend so any slight pain has been exagerated (not sure if spelling is correct). How were you after it? Did you have any side effects? I'm still worrying its going to hit me like a ton of bricks at some point, haha.
