No offence taken. I have a partner who is older than me by 12 yrs and we cannot really afford to wait time wise, yet can't afford 2 in nursery full time. We also do not want a big age gap between the 2. So we want to concieve in a 3 month window where the baby will be a summer baby, and when its time to go to nursery our daughter will have 15 hours free at her nursery which will come in really handy.

I have never done the charting or temp taking as way too confusing when poas tells you what you want to know!

However, I won't be getting stressed too much as we have a beautiful girl and now know we can concieve and hopefully will agian but if it does not happen we are grateful of what we have.

My advice is for one month only do the digital opks to find out when you ovulate and use that as rule of thumb the rest of the time. That way you have piece of mind that you are Ov and roughly know when to DTD.

I'm going to DTD more and I'm taking folic acid already. To be honest all the charting and stuff is way too confusing, it reads like another language to me!

I'm definitely just going to go with the flow. It'll happen when the time is right.

Well considering that I'm 38 and that my period has never been regular we will definitely be buying an ovulation kit to see when I'm ovulating plus we will be doing the deed lots when the times are right. I know I will get a bit stressed out when waiting for AF to turn up etc but we want to try and get a BFP as early on as possible.

That is the thing I would love to just go with the flow and would actually be more than happy for that now (OH says no ) but I think when my time does finally come for TTC I won't have the luxury of time so I need to do the best I can so we get a BFP as quickly as possible so that means lots of bding at the right times

Yes, Im also 38, and when we conceived our LO, I was using ovulation prediction kits. I found them (and hpt's) addictive, and got a bit obsessive about it all to be honest. Id like to think that Ill be more relaxed this time, but like you say, when you're aware of your biological clock, it tends to up the ante a little.
I can recommend buying opk's off amazon - I'd get a bag of 50 for about 3 quid. It didnt help my poas obsession as you can imagine xx

I havent really decided, i think we will just go with the flow and DTD more often near the ovulation time. But i suspect i may end of resorting to a CBFM if i dont fall after.... hahahaha the first month!!! xx

We're just going to let nature take its course, we decided if we think it's taking longer than it should we'll get into trying more actively.

I would love to be relaxed and go with the flow, but I know myself. I would be so upset each month if I didn't know that I was doing everything I could to get there faster! It's stressful enough to wait two weeks, I can't imagine waiting two weeks when we've been at it casually.

Not to mention, and this may be TMI, my fiance is quite fat. We don't have vaginal sex often enough for me to trust that it will happen just doing it. I want to time it!
