Pregnancy after a C-section...

Is any one else nervous about being pregnant after having a previous C-Section?

I think its mainly because i feel like my insides have been tampered with in a way and because i had a big baby last time i'm worried about how my scar will hold up during a second pregnancy even though i have had no problems with my scar what so ever.

If it wasn't for having a C-section i would be TTC sooner...grrrrrr

Hiya,

I do worry about my scar stretching with another pregnancy. My scar isn't really even visible anymore but I just know as the bump grows it'll prob get all red and horrible looking. I didnt end up with a huge baby but my mw constantly said my bump was huge. I'm worried if my bump is too big my scar could tear or something.
I do also worry that I'll never get my tummy muscles back next time as they'll be so stretched and damaged.
It's quite scary really!

X

Ladies don't worry about the scar tearing. My sister had two c sections and her scar didn't cause her any problems. She did get loads of stretch marks etc and her tummy looked horrid so she had a tummy tuck. I'm planning to get one as well after my pregnancy (if it ever happens) Horrible tummys after pregnancy run in our family. Everyone has got loads of stretch marks etc.

if you think about it, they scar was created when you had a big pregancy belly, so no reason why it wouldn't cope with another one! having said that, i am worried about whether the pushing stage will be ok - but mainly if i will even get to that point!

I have problems with a scar from appendix surgery, it sometimes sticks to my bowels and I take a tablet to ease it. I often wonder how pregnancy will affect this?

I am worried about it, it still hurts a bit now and I really want a VBAC so worry about pushing. I can not fully explain why I worry about it but I do.
