I hope you're not with the same GP that your mother used to be!

I have PCOS and I was diagnosed because my periods are really irregular. For example my last 4 cycles have been: 31 days, 31 days, 43 days and 37 days. And when I have them they are really painful and heavy (like yours). But luckily I don't suffer from being over-weight or with male pattern hair growth. And most importantly I managed to conceive naturally- although she wasn't planned and we hadn't used contraception for 11 months, so I don't know how lucky I was really.

I would definately agree and change your doc, they should send you for an ultrasound to check your ovaries and do a blood test to check your hormone levels!

Good luck xx
