Twag: Don't be disappointed in being the oldest, right now, in the thread! You are still a spring chicken, so don't let anyone tell you different

I can't wait to get to know everyone better!

Has anyone already started making plans for future ??

I feel like it makes me slightly more broody as well, but dh will just have to deal with it I haven't planned anything, yet, but I have took some time looking at pictures of nursery's and such. I need to start getting some pregnancy books & such so I can know what all I need to do before hand.

Have you come across a pretty comprehensive list of things that will be needed for when baby comes?? I have seen a few, but all of them were kinda short. I also need to look at things for a "go-bag" for the trip to the hospital when we go into labor. I loooove lists, but I am scared to start from scratch on my own for fear of leaving something out

ooo yes i need some pregnancy books...i read up on quite a bit on the internet but i especially want to have a look through some pregnancy and labor books.
not really to be honest...most of the things i know ill need ive pretty much got from my mum lol. i mean i think the list of things you will 'need' will be kinda short (we will just need a lot of it lol) but i think rest is more nice things to have in place...if that makes any sense.

and yes i need one of them bags too, i have no idea what ill need in that!! x

You are very right, the things we "need" are a short list, but the things we think we need/want make up a much larger list

I have saved some things in a baby folder that I just revisited.
If you want to scare yourself to death by the cost of a baby go to this website lol: http://www.babycenter.com/baby-cost-calculator

My dh just kind of rolls with it. He knows that if I am busy reading about/researching baby-related things that it will keep my mind off of how looooong it seems like our wait is. Also, the laptop we have was mine before we got married & dh isn't on much, so he doesn't really even know it's there I would like to start a hard copy folder, but just keep it put up so it doesn't "freak him out". Men.

And that calculator is crazy!!! But we have to take into account the amount of things we will get from showers & such, so that total isn't very realistic. We haven't started saving yet either, but I was hoping to start talking to dh soon about setting up a "baby fund". Hope that talk goes over well!

You go girl!! I am not creative enough, nor do I have the patience to do such a beautiful thing. I tried to learn to crochet, but I got bored quickly & was way too impatient
