Waiting until after wedding seems to be taking from the wedding...

Hello!

This is my first post.

I just wanted to introduce myself! I am 26, and we're currently engaged to be married on March 31 2012. So still over one year to go.

I have been dying to get married, and to plan the wedding, and it's all been so exciting, but then we talked about starting our family. Now I can't even concentrate on wedding planning because I'm SO excited about getting pregnant and having a baby! It is so unlike me, I'm not really even a "baby person", but I can't shake the obsession with starting a family.

Is anyone else like this? I just hope I can concentrate on the wedding enough to plan properly, and pay for things on time hehe...

Anyway, needless to say, I'm so happy to be here. It makes being pregnant feel a *little* bit closer!

Hi we are getting married in August and were WTT until then. But we've now just decided that we would like to be pregnant at the wedding I think it'll make the day even more special, not for everyone else, just us. I am really looking forward to both anyway and in August its my OH birthday and then mine in September!! so lots going on!! xx

Welcome to BNB.we are getting married june 25th and starting right after so i have 3 more months to go.. i completely understand what you mean by taking away from the wedding planning because your constantly thinking about starting a family. Seems like i talk about babies more than i do the wedding. Sometimes it drives my fiance nuts lol. We got engaged in july and now the wedding is only 3 months away, it goes by in a blink of an eye.. So enjoy it while you can!

Thanks guys! It makes me feel better to know I'm not alone. Sometimes I feel like I should be more into planning the wedding, and it's not like I'm not into it, but I get so distracted by baby fever lol!

Aww...sometimes some people don't love wedding planning and would rather focus on what comes after. Marriage has all sorts of great benefits in terms of life together, including growing into a family. However I bet if you start focusing more on cool wedding ideas and wedding planning you'll get more into it.

And there's always speeding up the wedding, too, if you really can't wait. DH & I planned in five months and a week and it was just fine!

I was totally into the wedding planning, until like, a week ago. Now I'm on a baby kick.

I'm sure I'll get back into the wedding planning. I think I just have some downtime right now with the wedding planning because most stuff has been booked that needs to be.

I just can't wait to start TTC!

Welcome!
I recently got married and I struggled to stay just on wedding planning. Like EngineerGirl said I started digging into the wedding stuff and the baby stuff kind of slid. I'm so excited now that I can just focus on the baby stuff. The time will fly by!
Enjoy!
