Just bought 20 pregnancy tests

OH is trying to convince me to not start the next packet of the pill tomorrow and I'm having wobbles. So while I was trying to have a serious chat with him, and failing miserably, I bought 20 pregnancy tests online. Oh dear. I'm so confused, I know that it's best to wait and do things sensibly, but I want to have a baby so badly I don't know what to do

So both yourself and your OH want to start trying now? Is that right? If thats the case what are your reasons for waiting? If they arn't anything major and there wouldn't be any problems caused by having a baby now then i would say go for it. Obviously i don't know what situaiton you are in but i don't think there ever is the 'perfect time or situation' and you just need too weigh up your options.

I know how your feeling last year i was struggling to put off TTC and i was just getting my head in the right place and just before christmas my OH went and said he was ready!! Well we were already planning our wedding for this August and i had my dress so it was no longer an option at that time which killed me We are now TTC 2 months before the wedding so i can still fit in my dress even if we do get a BFP straight away .

I hope ive helped some what and x

OH is currently unemployed but suffering from anxiety and depression, the depression is under control but the anxiety still needs a fair amount of work, he's working his way up to ringing the jobcentre to figure out what his next step should be. I'm working part time at the pub over the road and we're living at my mum's house. It's not really ideal, lol.

Where do you see yourself in the next 9 months to a year?

It would be far from ideal to TTC while unemployed, but at the same time, maybe a pregnancy is what your OH needs. Realizing that he's going to be a father and has to provide for his family (isn't that how men think?) might just be the push he needs and might help with his anxiety, too. It'll give him a goal to work towards.

Honestly, I think getting pregnant would be a major boost for him and could be the kick up the backside he needs. He's going to be an amazing dad and would absolutely dote on any children we have and would do anything for them.

I'm looking for full time work and am quite close to becoming a WW leader, so it's not ideal timing, other than having some guaranteed hours now I could have said the same thing 18 months ago.

They arrived today, cue awkward moment when my mum handed me the package and asked what was inside it

I managed to get away, open them upstairs and then grab a disc OH was sent for his CBT and said it was that. Thankfully, she believed me.
