Still no period.....Whats going on with my body?

I was in hospital last week with really bad left hand side abdominal pain. It was also accompanied with pain in my shouler and because i was due on the following saturday they though i might be about to have an etopic pregnancy. I was scanned and they saw like a tumour type cyst on my left hand side. They took my bloods which declared not pregnant. So booked me in for monday, did my bloods again which said not pregnant. Now im used to having this left side pain as i have fibroid on the neck of my womb and only went to the doctors as it was really painful. Now its Wednesday i've still not come on and this pain has vanished. SO what is going on? Surely if i was about to have an etopic pregnancy the pain would be quite constant and worse. No sign of period either.... Im just confused

Hey! Could it be ovulation pains? I had quite bad pains in my lower back/abdomin in January - I had no idea what they were as I have been on the pill for 12 years and that was my 1st month off them. They lasted a few days and were really bad. I figured out in Feburary when I got them again what they were. They aren't as bad as they were that 1st month though.

I actually went to my primary physican in Jan. thinking I had a UTI or kidney stone but results came back that I didn't obviously bc they were just OV pains. Man was I embarressed!!

blondie_, you won't ovulate twice in one cycle (unless you release two eggs for twins, which happens within hours of each other). You may, however, be experiencing a lot of stress causing both the pain and the delayed period. If you take your temperature and know when you ovulated maybe that'll give you an idea. 18 days of high temps after ovulation, by the way, indicates pregnancy. If your ovulation was late your luteal phase (the part after ovulation before your period) will still be as long as ever making your cycle longer. If you've been under a lot of stress I'd blame that.

I get this pain when I get a cyst and I would say that the pain disappearing would mean that the cyst has drained away which is completely normal and natural. No idea about your period not coming on. It could be because of the cyst. I have never had a normal cycle so I wouldn't know if cysts would interrupt it

HTH xx
